There may be several reasons why either the object is suitable for private sale or the seller prefers a private sale.
When will a private sale be a better option than selling at auction?
For objects that are very special and with few buyers, a private sale can be a good alternative to auction. In such cases, our experts will make use of their contact network and contact the relevant buyers directly. Nyborgs has databases of stakeholders of specific objects, artists and the like.
Some objects are not so attractive without completely personal sales and are therefore often not so suitable for auction. As well as that some sellers are anxious that the object will become less attractive for further sale, if it becomes unsold at auction.
If a sale is urgent or the seller does not want the object to be publicly put up for auction, a private sale may also be an option.
A private sale is conducted by Nyborgs, where one agrees on a defined price with the seller.
