Buying at an online auction
Participating in Blomqvist's online auctions is safe and easy! Follow these four steps.
Sign up
In order to participate in an auction on blomqvist.no, you must have an active user on blomqvist.no. That is, you must have a profile with us with a valid bank card registered and you must have approved our purchase terms.
Participate in an auction
All objects on our online auctions, including Vinmonopoly's wine auctions, are published on blomqvist.no and are available for seven to fourteen days. All objects have been examined and described by our experts.
We encourage all buyers to research the objects prior to bidding. All objects can be examined at Blomqvist in Fornebu.
Browse through our categories, use search or filtering, to find exactly what you want. You have the option to save a search, then you will receive an auction notification by email, and SMS if you wish, when an object you are looking for appears at auction with us. You edit your saved searches yourself on My Page.
When you have found an object If you want to bid, you select the bid you want to place, then a window will appear with your bid, the costs and the total price. The bid must be confirmed before it is submitted to Blomqvist. You will receive confirmation by email, on My Page and by SMS, if you wish. The object will be visible under My Commandments on My Page.
You can choose the next possible bid or set a higher max bid. In case of a higher maximum bid, Blomqvist will bid on your behalf up to your specified maximum bid if someone bids against you. More information about max bids can be found here.
If someone bids for you, you can choose to be notified by email, on My Page and also by SMS if you wish. You can choose the settings for the notification yourself on My Page. You also have the option to set up alerts before an auction ends, so you don't miss the end of the auction.
Will there be a bid for the object within the last four minutes of the auction, the auction will be extended to four remaining minutes. The extensions continue until no more bids come in for the object.
To be able to participate at an auction you have to be 18 years old, 20 years old for liquor. More details about bidding, inspection and participation in wine auctions can be found under the Wine Auction button on this page.
Pay for the object
Once you have won the bidding round, you will receive a confirmation email containing a link to payment.
Follow the link to complete the payment with a bank card. You can also make the payment from My Purchases on My Site. Here you can also pay for several objects at once.
If you do not pay for the object yourself, we will withdraw your active payment card 48 hours after the auction. Purchased wine and spirits items are automatically withdrawn the day after the last auction night.
Pickup or Shipment
Objects purchased from Blomqvist must be picked up, or shipping must be ordered, within 14 days.
Most objects purchased from us can be picked up at our office in Bergen. Transportation to Bergen is ordered at the object under Mine Purchases. You order shipping on My Page after you win an auction. Information about the shipping options available can be found on the object page. The object must be paid for in order for it to be extradited from Blomqvist.
